Colorado ASTA Large Group Orchestra Festival
Orchestra Directors,
Registration for the March 2023 Regional and State Festivals is open! Festival fees are $300 for Regionals and $300 for State.
REGISTRATION is due by Nov. 18th.
Regional Dates
Tuesday, March 7, Cherokee Trail HS (Aurora)
Wednesday, March 8, Fairview HS (Boulder)
Thursday, March 9, Fort Collins HS
State Dates
Thursday, April 20, Metro State University
Friday, April 21, Metro State University
In order to be considered for State, you must register and pay for State at the same time that you register for Regionals. If you are not selected for State, you will receive a refund.
Format
At all events, you get 30 minutes to warm up, 30 minutes to perform (20 minutes of music max), and a dedicated 30 minute clinic with a national -level clinician. You are required to listen to two other groups at the festival.
Music
The music you choose is up to you, and you should choose what you feel is appropriate for your ensemble. There is no time or literature requirement beyond the 20 minute maximum. If you are selected for state, you must either add or change one piece.
